Celeriac

The celeriac plant is closely related to the celery plant. Whilst both the leaves and base can be eaten, the base of the plant is more commonly eaten. The leaves however make a lovely addition to soups and stews. Celeriac is very popular these days particularly after featuring in TV programmes such as MasterChef. The variety we grow is called Ibis. We sow the seeds in late March, transplanting in May, with them ready to harvest in the autumn. They’re so popular that this year we’ll sow over 1,000 seeds.
