Salsify - 250g

Salsify gained popularity in mid-eighteenth-century Britain, mostly as a garnish, however it never quite replaced other vegetables such as Asparagus. In nineteenth-century American cookbooks, Salsify was often made into fritters and served as a side dish for Christmas dinner.
