No Deliveries week commencing 1st July

Hello Everyone,

I know, it is not a Sunday morning (my normal time for writing my weekly journal). But this is important…

We will NOT be delivering next week

I realise this is very, very short notice and I hope that we do not cause disruption to your menu planning.

There are a few reasons for this decision:

  1. As I have been saying in recent Journals, this time of the year, gardening is ‘full on’. We need to find some extra hours in the day OR use time allocated to our harvesting, packing and delivery days. As we can’t find extra daytime hours, we have decided to use our delivery days next week to continue planting, tending and watering our inside and outside growing areas.
  2. The mini heat wave has been brilliant, just what we have been asking for. However, the result has meant that the fruit and vegetables have ‘run away with themselves’. They have caught up with where they should be now. We need to catch up with them and tend the goodies before they become out of hand…talk about mile-a-minute growth!
  3. Basically, we are re-setting ourselves and the farm.

We all hope you understand the decision we have taken. We are really sorry it has been a late decision, but Mother Nature is in charge...and I always thought it was Me!

Have a good week and I will return as normal next week.

(Speaking of next week…we have a couple of remaining slots for each day of our course. If you still want to book a place please email bob@hexhamshireorganics.co.uk

Take care,
