Ann's Farm Journal

Keep up with all of our updates from the farm including what’s new in season!

Work, work, work

Work, work, work

Morning All,

Bob and I hope you are all very well. We keep laughing with each other as we cannot believe how much work we are doing at the moment. We are up at the crack of dawn and finish somewhere between nine and ten each night.

During our drink break we usually look at the clock in the kitchen with total shock and being incredibly surprised at the time…..there does not seem to be enough time in the day to…..care for the animals, water the seven polytunnels, water outside produce, weed, weed, weed, nip the tomatoes, check each brassicas for the dreaded cabbage white and its caterpillar, bring on new seedlings, check the Orchard trees for bugs, weed, weed, weed, clean packing area, harvest for box scheme, cut grass, care for herb garden, social media, paper work and on and on….oh and weed.

But, we are laughing because we are very happy, content and satisfied with our lot. We feel we are achieving something and as oldies we are still learning daily about market gardening and our land. Who wouldn’t be happy!

Organic Pork Update

Next week we start sending our pigs to our certified organic butcher. So very soon we will be adding certified organic pedigree Tamworth pork to the range of organic products we will be selling.

Our website will soon be getting updated to show the range of pork cuts, joints and sausages we will be selling.

Once we start taking orders for the pork we will confirm the delivery date with you when we receive your order.

When we deliver the order the pork will be frozen and delivered in insulated packaging to ensure temperature is controlled.

More pork updates next week….

Take care,

Ann
